Name of student: Bc. Lenka Dvořáková Title of Thesis: Personal Data Protection in the Business

This diploma thesis deals with the personal data protection in the business. The aim is to assess the protection of personal data in the company FORTEX-AGS and in case of finding defects suggest a better solution. The work is divided into five chapters. The first part is devoted to the legislation and basic terms being used in this are the most often. History of the personal data protection is mentioned and further the Act No. 101/2000 on personal data protection is dealt with in detail. The following chapter discusses the personal data being used within the employment relations and it is arranged in terms of chronology. In the main application part of the thesis the system of personal data protection in the company FORTEX-AGS is analyzed. At first, the company is presented and then the process of personal data usage before the employment, within and after its termination is assessed. The author also issues whether the company infringes the employee´s privacy in the workplace, uses camera systems, whether and how transmits the personal data to foreign countries and how protects personal data of clients.
