Abstract

Diploma work deals with the population´s protection and selection of objects to concealment the Czech population during emergencies at time of peace and time of war. Author notes the threat, from which the population needs to hide. He describe the types of shelters, the possibilities of using objects to hide and their main characteristics, quantity and capacities of shelters in the Czech Republic and Moravia-Silesia. This work proposes a method for selecting an object to improvised shelter. Furthermore was calculated protective factor of three large buildings in the town Hlučín. The conclusion deals with a calculation of the period of persons´ stay in a sealed room during hiding from dangerous chemicals.
