Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design and implementation of a system for regulating the temperature of a medium using a control valve and a Siemens S7-1500 programmable logic controller with a visualization interface. The objective was to create a system that enables precise control of the output temperature of the medium based on feedback control of the flow rate. A control valve from AUMA was used to regulate the flow, while temperature measurement was provided by a PT100 resistance sensor. A PID controller was used to calculate the control action, with its parameters set using the Auto-Tuning function integrated in the TIA Portal environment.
