Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with modeling of water erosion and proposal of erosion control using geographic information systems (GIS). Cadastral area of Tísek is selected from the district of Nový Jičín. Tísek represents the area of this rugged landscape and is suitable for water erosion problems on agricultural land. Calculation of soil loss values and proposal of soil protection against erosion is processed according to valid metodology The Protection of soils against erosion according to Janeček (2012). The diploma thesis describes collecting and data processing, assessment of water erosion, erosion control and output maps for better spatial orientation. The aim of this thesis is to use GIS tools in solving water erosion and to create a geographic database, the advantage of using GIS is the storage of spatial data with text and image information.
