Abstract

The first part of the thesis contains description of the waste incineration process. The basic concepts related to the grate incineration of waste are listed and described in this part. The second part of the thesis is focused in more detail on description and overview of industrial burners for burning gaseous fuels. Basic components and peripherals are described in the introductory part of the thesis. Further on, description and classification of burners based on their design and operating parameters are discussed as well. The third part is about experiment, which was realized in order to determine combustion performance parameters of the monoblock burners installed on the experimental waste incinerator. Inlet fuel pressure characteristics, burner outputs and air excess coefficient are determined in this part from the measured data, depending on the current settings of the burner’s working positions.
