Návrh možností využití brownfieldu na ulici Dr. Malého

Abstract

The issue of brownfields is an important social that deserves much more space in public discussions than is the case so far. The Czech Republic still lags behind the rest of the Western world. It is necessary to approach each brownfield individually and look for potential investors who will participate in the regeneration together with local authorities. The public sector will no doubt continue to play a major role in the process of addressing brownfield issues. Most brownfields in the Czech Republic cannot do without state support or EU funding. In this respect, the Czech Republic should learn how to more effectively draw finances from European sources and also to promote the support of subsidies to areas that are not yet supported. Also, national statistics are inadequate in this respect, with many important brownfields missing more detailed information, in the better case, in the worst case they do not exist in the database at all. Brownfield regeneration is one of the many challenges in the coming decades, but is not expected to be completely resolved as it is a very lively area of the economy, where new brownfields are emerging and disappearing.
