Abstract
The aim of this work is to map the cloud computing, not only from the perspective of general and theoretical, but also in terms of implementation specifics with regard to spe- cific technologies. They is description of Google App Engine and Microsoft Windows Azure. Both technologies are briefly introduced, then are described differences between common web applications and applications for App Engine and Windows Azure. There is also included a description of some services that applications can use. Of course there is price list for the use of these services. The work also contains a comparison of these services, including comparison of their performance.
In addition, the work described and some basic techniques used to create scalable applications.
