Abstract
The thesis deals with the problems of timekeeping in a sporting environment. Part of this work is the theoretical basis in terms of time itself and its possible technical recovery from history to the present time. In the analytical part technologies are evaluated which could be used in the implementation of timekeeping, such as RFID (Radin Frequency Identification) or NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, respectively implementation using optical sensors or GPS (Global Position System). Control unit Arduino, Rasberry Pi and UDOO are researched and compared within the realization of the system for recording the results in amateur running races in the analytic part. Based on the results of the analysis technology was selected, the solution on this technology was implemented and the verification of developed solution for running race was carried out.
