Abstract
This thesis with issues of contemporary handling of sludge from sewage treatment plants. The introductory part is focused on the basic terminology concerning the sludge followed by the ways of removing of the sludge, the methods of condensing , dewatering, sanitization and stabilizatio of the sludge. The conclusion is dedicated to the assessment
of the sludge management of ČOV Opava (a sewage water treatment plant in Opava)
and also to its launch of systém of thermal phasing of anaerobic stabilization of the sludge.
