Abstract
In my bachelor work I follow up with hotel building in the former mining area Jan Šverma in Žacléř. The concept of connecting that building with the area is going out with looking at the actual area from the arrival nortern part. The building creatures modern dominant of the mining area and the counterbalance to the dominant high- rise building of the mine tower. Design of the building is based on parametric structure of arrivel part of the area, which is represented by mining machinery building with measuring of 20 x 15 meters.
Hotel project is 30- meters high building with 9 floors and basement. The facade of the building symbolize the carbon as an element of the mining. Effect of irregular structures and warped space is presented by inclined glass panels of facade with a combination of reflected light at the different angles. The interaction of new building substance with an old parts of the area is symbolically depicted in the neck connecting 2. hotel floor and restaurant facility.
