Abstract
The thesis deals with the issue of spatial data collection for the purpose of flood risk assessment and the creation of flood hazard and risk maps. The theoretical part deals with an introduction to flood hazards and discusses the differences between the spatial data entering the modelling. The practical part discusses the technology of geospatial data collection and the methods of their graphical processing. As a model area for these activities we present the Rybný potok watercourse in the cadastral area of Zvolenská Slatina.
Finally, on the basis of input data from airborne laser scanning and our own geodetic measurements, the situation for a hundred-year flood wave was modelled. The passporting of artificial objects was also carried out within the framework of the actual measurement; these photographs were processed into a database using GIS tools.
