Abstract
This diploma thesis is focused on design and verification of system for voice quality monitoring in IP telephony. First part of this document contains an overview of subjective and objective methods for evaluation of voice quality, including their main delegates and description of their functions. Theoretical part also contains the description of factors, which have direct impact to the voice quality in IP environment.
Practical part of this thesis describes design and functionality of developed system, which is based on objective, non-intrusive method called e-model, which was picked according to analysis from the beginning of this work. Next part of practical realization of this diploma thesis is based on comparative measurement using developed application and measurement obtained using method PESQ corresponding with ITU-T P.862, which is considered to be standard in methods for voice quality evaluation. Evaluation of obtained results and some possible improvements of the system can be found at the end of this work.
