Abstract
The present thesis evaluates the current status of the main watercourses redeemed the Baltic Sea on the territory of northern Moravia and Silesia in relation to their original ecological function of bio - corridor. In the study described physical - geographic basic characteristics of the river Odra and its tributaries Opava, Ostravice and Olše. The thesis gives an overview of the main objects of transverse (weir, catchment instance, small water power station), which are involved in the fragmentation of the aquatic environment in the water and significantly affect the migration of the permeability for aquatic vertebrates. Processing is also an overview of small hydroelectric plants, which are directly linked to surge places in the main waterways Odra river basin. Specified claims in againts stream of migrant fish in overcoming barriers and described generally acceptable means of protection of aquatic vertebrates during thein after stream migration profile of l water power station. The thesis is foreseen the prospect of renewal the river continuum in the area of interest in the context of the Action Plan the Agency to protect nature and the landscape plan the Czech Republic and the Odra river basin for the next period.
