Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the productivity of a selected retail network of a company engaged in textile sales using multi-criteria decision-making methods and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The productivity analysis is based on the quarterly results of the evaluated company over three consecutive years. The thesis is divided into two main parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces the fundamental concepts related to productivity, the principles of multi-criteria decision-making, and selected DEA models. These models were subsequently applied in the practical part of the thesis to assess the productivity of the retail network focused on textile sales. The practical part employed the methods TOPSIS, PROMETHEE, Super DEA (in both CCR and BCC models), and the Malmquist Productivity Index in several variants. These methods evaluated the productivity of the retail network as well as its development over the observed period. Based on the results of the individual methods, a mutual comparison and evaluation of their contribution to business decision-making were carried out. Finally, the results of the analysis were summarized, including recommendations for the lowest-performing stores. Additionally, a combination of three methods was proposed for the long-term evaluation of the company’s productivity.
