Abstract

This diploma paper aims at economic analysis of the IS-LM model based on special functions defined in the resource B. Kaličinská: Analysis of Model IS-LM (diploma paper, 2009). The whole thesis consists of 4 fundamental parts. The first part includes the summary of results from the resource Kaličinská (2009), namely the determination of special functions of IS‑LM model, the determination of the static and dynamic model, including several theorems about parameters of this model and about dynamic stability of this model. The second part contains some economic interpretation of IS-LM model based on special functions. There are interpretations of special functions, of the static and dynamic model, including interpretations of equilibrium points, non-equilibrium points and of singular points of this model. The third part includes some alternative approaches to modeling of an aggregate equilibrium. There are determination of four roles of the IS-LM model, some alternative approaches to the economic quantities and some approach to modeling macroeconomic equilibrium without IS-LM model. The fourth part is aimed at empiric provableness of IS-LM model based on special functions. There is a part about empiric provableness in general, a short list of empiric evidence of this problem and a part about my own econometric regression model of this IS-LM model.
