Abstract
WALACH, Tomáš. Safety studies ballistic resistance of building materials. Ostrava, 2016, VŠB-TU Ostrava. Faculty of Safety Engineering. Supervision of the bachelor thesis Ing. Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D.
This thesis deals with resistance of most commonly occurring construction materials in the Czech Republic to penetration of bullets fired from a firearm for the purpose of assessing the most effective shelter during an attack on a person or property. This resistance has been tested at the shooting range, and the record of these tests is part of this work. Selection of weapon and ammunition was also influenced by the most frequently occurring types of weapons and ammunition used in the Czech Republic. Additionally, the paper briefly describes the weapons and ammunition, used in these tests. Records of the tests are documented with photographs, together with a table summarizing the results and interpretation of these tests.
