Simulátor průtoku vzduchu

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the design and construction of an airflow simulator to simulate physiological and pathological breathing patterns, along with maintaining a constant breathing level. The pathological waveforms represent two types of obstructive airway disease. The first pathology resembles asthma, while the second pathology resembles chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The simulator is controlled by the user, who has the option to select a breath simulation from the main menu. After selecting the type of simulation, the user can select the respiratory rate. The main menu contains scenarios for simulating different breathing patterns. The airflow simulator uses two radial fans and a Fleisch pressure resistor connected to a differential pressure sensor. This sensor provides feedback to the instrument about the airflow. A custom schematic and circuit board design is used to build the simulator. The encapsulation of the instrument is handled by custom design and then printing on a 3D printer.
