Abstract

This work is in the first part will deal with pollutants and their subsequent definitions. It then focuses on the main pollutants of the internal environment, which are classified as the most threatening health with links to studies showing their negative effects on health in closed rooms. I deal with not only their characteristics, sources of internal and external environment, but also the measured values both in Europe and on other continents. Based on existing studies, I show concentrations that have a negative impact on the occupants, including the subsequent emergence of the disease. In this thesis I present an overview of legislation, ie classification of pollutants in the Czech legislation, the European Union and international agreements, including the inclusion of the substance in respect of health risks. The last part deals with the issue of passive houses as a form of modern living, comparing their advantages, but also disadvantages, which arise from the potential health risks.
