Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to sum up the issue of recultivation of the waste dumps on a theoretical level. The first part of the thesis presents an overview of related legislation. The following chapter named Characteristics of Reclamation contains a basic division of recultivation types and also the factors necessary to take into account during planning. Then there is the explanation of basic terms, a brief history of waste disposal and recultivation, and also recultivation from an economic point of view. The last important chapter is Recultivation Technologies, which divides and describes separate phases of recultivation, including activities performed during them.
