Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of filled polypropylene for the automotive industry. In the theoretical part describes how and what it is possible to perform the polypropylene matrix and the influence of the filler on mechanical properties, from which depends the possibility of using filled polypropylene. The practical part is dedicated to the influence of talc and glass fiber as fillers in quantities of 10, 20, 30 and 40 weight percent on the mechanical properties of polypropylene. The main discovery is, each filler in a specific ratio has a positive effect different mechanical properties. So this shows, the polypropylene as a matrix can be modified so much that its application possibilities will be infinitely large and number of possible modifications far undiscovered.
