Abstract
This thesis deals with an evaluation of leadership style in a selected organization. The aim of this thesis is to explore certain leadership style and find out whether there is a consistency linked to a perception of the referred style. At first the theoretical part focuses on an explanation of fundamentals in regard of leadership, an evolution of leadership theories and on a leadership effectiveness as well. There is an attention paid to four departments of the selected organization in the empirical part. The evaluation of leadership style was designed from two different perspectives. Firstly there was a self-evaluation in the term of leadership style made by the leaders themselves. Afterwards several subordinates evaluated the style of their leader applied within a certain department from their point of view. The results were evaluated separately for each department and then compared with each other. There are several suggestions made on the base of findings at the end of the thesis.
