Abstract

The main goal of the thesis is to investigate and approach the are of personal bankruptcies in the Czech republic and to define the concept of this subject. The thesis may also become a handbook for borrowers who are confused by the Insolvency Act, but the institute of debt relief would like to use themselves. Request for personal bankruptcy is increasing every year and the theme becomes more acute. The thesis evaluate the economic consequences of debt relief to borrowers practically. Introductory part contains definitions and general characteristics of insolvency. There are presented the possibilities of solving over-indebtedness (or impending bankruptcy) for entrepreneurs, businesses and non-entrepreneurs. The crucial part of this work is described in detail a proposal to allow debt relief and all its requisites. The following is a descripton of the conditions that the borrower must meet for it to be approved debt relief, and the obligations arising from the approved debt relief. The final chapter is concerned with the actual analysis of the conomic impact of debt relief to borrowers. The thesis apply acquired knowledge through case studies, which describes course of the process real debt relief practically.
