Analýza nezaměstnanosti v okrese Ostrava

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to analyze unemployment in the district of Ostrava in the years 2006-2010. In this work I analyze the concepts of unemployment, characteristics of Ostrava district and the development of general and registered unemployment. I compare the annual evolution of these in terms of length of unemployment of unemployed persons registered at labor offices, in terms of educational attainment and age of applicants. The thesis also outlines the development of unemployment in other districts of the Region and the comparison of unemployment in this region with other regions of the Czech republic. As a tool for reducing the unemployment rate is an overview of active employment policy.
