Abstract

PODEŠVOVÁ Pavla, Small Cinema & Café in Opava, Bachelor Thesis, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architecture, 2017, thesis supervisor: Ing. arch. Radim Václavík The subject of the thesis is a project of Small Cinema & Café in Opava. The thesis follows in the previous project prepared in the classes of Architecture Design Studio III, Architecture Design Studio IV and Architecture Design Studio VA. The aim was to create a building that will complete the lack of services in that part of the city by being used as a pleasant environment for meetings where people can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or watch a film. The building is designed in the shape of a rectangular trapezoid which does not look unnatural or distracting. On the first floor, there is a small cinema, café and stairs to the second floor of the café. The second floor offers a terrace with a seating area.
