Abstract

The diploma thesis discusses Investment Projects of s Municipality. The thesis consists of 5 main sections, the first part is introduction and the last part is conclusion. The second theoretical chapter focuses on the local municipality, its economic activities and ways of funding investment projects. The third chapter includes various techniques, which are used for decisions on investment projects. Fourth chapter constitutes practical analyses, on that were used theoretical knowledge. The analysis concerns on investment projects of a municipality Zábřeh in year 2011. For the analysis was used method CUA (Cost Utility Analysis) with three criterions, through which it was possible to model the actual decision-making in Zábřeh. Modelling of the other criteria and their weights were determined possibility of achieving higher benefits and effectiveness in investing activities. . The goal of the thesis was to find out, if the decision making representatives in Zábřeh was optimal and to propose new possibilities. These proposals are described in the final section and refer to the appropriate setting criteria for the use of method CUA.
