Abstract

This thesis is focused on air protection at the cross-border level, specifically within the Czech-Polish border regions of Moravia and Silesia. The main objective is evaluation the development of air quality, concrete measures to protect air quality in this area and any suggestions and recommendations of other possible or concrete actions follow up with project Air Silesia. The first part of work is occupy to legislation on the issue, the characteristics of cross-border cooperation and Poland-Czech Republic Cross-Border Operational Programme. The second part is focused on the individual causes of air pollution and tools to improve this situation and outlines the development of selected pollutants in the territory of the Moravian-Silesian Region. The last part deals with project Air Silesia and in the conclusion is suggested several possible solutions, as could be Czech - Polish cooperation in the field of the future develop.
