Abstract
The aim of the thesis Congress tourism in Ostrava is the analysis and critical assessment of situation in congress tourism and its subjects in the city Ostrava and proposals development for its improvement. The first part of the thesis represents the theoretical basis, which is a ground for the practical part. In the practical part there are analysed the problems of congress tourism in Ostrava. Through the interviews with interested groups are made proposals for development of this branch of tourism.
