Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to identify and then evaluate how women in middle and senior management in Czech and foreign organizations in the Czech Republic assess their careers. Part of the aim is also to determine what factors affect their careers, what obstacles or opportunities they face at work, how organizations help them to develop their careers and how they perceive their careers in relation to the issue of gender.
The theoretical part explains the key concepts. The issue of gender in the workplace and important gender statistics are also clarified. In the application part of this thesis are explained selected methods, semi-structured interview and analysis of hard data. Here are described organizations in which women work and their responses are also evaluated in this application part. In final part are proposals and recommendations for the development of women careers.
