Abstract

The subject of this thesis is to assess the cost of liquid metal in the EUROCAST, s.r.o. foundry. To evaluate individual cost items is used the techno-economic analysis method. For the assessment were chosen so-called incomplete prime costs (IPC). IPC are those costs that are directly related to that process and are influenced by the operation of the furnace and its crew. IPC are further divided into the cost of batch, metallic and nonmetallic additives added to the furnace and into the pan. Are also considered processing costs, power consumption, weight of liquid metal, melting trial balance and melting time. The work on a set of melts assess the cost results of two smeltrs. It is concluded with recommendations for improving the liguid metal costs.
