Měření přenosového zpoždění v softwarově definovaných sítích

Abstract

This thesis addresses not only the issue of delay measurement in Software-Defined Networks (SDN) but also the potential of performing such measurements directly using SDN. SDN offers a flexible approach to the design and management of network infrastructure through centralized control and administration. Nowadays, delay plays a crucial role in the transmission of multimedia content. This work focuses on measuring and analyzing delay in SDN networks, as well as on the design and implementation of a test environment based on Open vSwitch (OVS) technology. In this environment, Raspberry Pi microcomputers are used as network nodes. The goal of the thesis is to compare different delay measurement methods within this test setup. The measurement results provide a detailed view of the accuracy and efficiency of each method and offer recommendations for their deployment in real-world scenarios.
