Abstract
The objective of this bachelor’s work is to propose an optimization in the work of a sewing operator on the basis of specific condition knowledge so as to achieve a reduction in physical strain and simultaneously decrease the emergence of risks leading to minor wounds, work-related injuries and work-related illnesses. An evaluation of the work environment and working conditions including an analysis of work related injuries and hazard prevention is conducted in the main part of the work. Attention is also devoted to work ergonomics where hazard domains and hazard factors for individual parts of the body are identified. The conclusion of the work comprises of suggested technical, technological and organizational precautions and means of personal safety protection upon the ascertained deficiencies. The establishment of the suggested precautions should bring about a reduction in physical strain and at the same time diminish the emergence of risks leading to minor wounds, work-related injuries and work-related illnesses and therefore encourage a better quality in the well-being of the sewing operator.
