Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of amortized complexity. The goal of the practical part was to create a component of a teaching server for the course Theoretical Computer Science in~the~follow-up master's degree programme. The resulting application takes the form of a dynamic web page that visualizes selected algorithms suitable for amortized complexity analysis and allows the user to work with different types of inputs. The application includes the display of individual algorithm steps, changes in the states of data structures, and other values important for understanding their behavior. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of amortized complexity, related concepts and~methods, the description of the implementation of the created component, and~the~characteristics of the selected algorithms. The result of the thesis is an educational tool that can contribute to a better understanding of amortized complexity by students.
