Abstract

The aim of this diploma work is to provide the reader a system of waste management, which is a necessary part of today’s civilized world. The work after a brief introduction defines in the first part the basic laws of waste management, describes the types of waste, production and the way of dealing with them. In the next part of work there is an analysis of the development of costs for removing waste in the community Lubenec during the years 2008-2011. The following part describes a preparation, application and evaluation of the marketing research to determine citizens’ satisfaction with waste management of the commnunity Lubenec. Presents the proposed steps leading to more efficient waste management of the community for the next period. The final part evaluates, whether the obtained results meet the purpose of the diploma work.
