Abstract

The goal of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the level of competitiveness of the selected company and according to this knowledge suggest solutions which will lead to improve the current situation. Thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical and the practical part. In theoretical chapter is explained meaning of terms like competition or competitiveness and also basic methods most used to evaluate competitiveness. An application part of thesis includes most of methods described in theoretical chapter, for example: PEST analysis, analysis of the five competitive forces, SWOT analysis and also financial analysis. The results of SWOT analysis are summarized in final chapter, which also includes recommendations dedicated to improve the current situation of the company.
