Abstract

The dissertation is focused on utilization of technological waste from the production of mullite and andalusite fireclays. This andalusite-mullite waste will be used in recipe of casted fireclay instead of current used aluminum oxide. Rheology properties of ceramic suspensions incl. testing methods are described in theoretical part of the dissertation. Next part is focused on casting technology of fireclay suspension into the plaster moulds. This technology is applied for production of special refractories. Experimental part describes technological test when current used recipe of casted fireclay based on aluminum oxide was substituted by raw material waste. On the grounds of test evaluation of obtained product was verified real possibility utilization andalusite-mullite waste for whirl gates productions.
