Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the analysis of standard procedure regarding the calculation of steel members with slender webs. In the first chapter, the basic issues of stability and limit states of bearing are introduced. The second chapter deals with a standard approach of the particular issues. The third chapter contains the examples regarding the usage of steel members with cross and longitudinal bracing in practice. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the application of theoretical procedures in statistical calculation - as the example demonstrates. In the last chapter, we introduce the parametric study proving the correctness of the theory regarding the bracing positioning from the overall bearing cross-section point of view.
