Abstract

This thesis informs about the types of steels, which are used in the manufacture of equipment and technological parts for nuclear power plants. Qualifies the material of austenitic stainless steel AISI 316L, which is one of the materials used for these purposes. It also describes the problems of undesirable intergranular corrosion of austenitic steels. Sensitization to intergranular corrosion of austenitic stainless steels have been studied in detail in the experimental part of this thesis.
