It compares the regulation of trade licensing in the Czech Republic and in the Slovakia. The practical part of this thesis concentrates on the specific problems of the trade licensing, as for example – the advantages and disadvantages of one free trade license, the unequal conditions in the entrepreneurship of the sole proprietors and of the small farmers, the issue of the dependent work (Švarc system), the business performed by the foreigners in the Czech Republic, and the inactive entrepreneurs.
