Možnosti zlepšování kvality ovzduší v obci Klimkovice

Abstract

This thesis is focused on the possibilities and activities leading to improve the air quality in the Klimkovice town. The main objective is to assess the air quality in the city, find the main reason of the deterioration state of the air, evaluate some activities and opportunities of the town or other subjects leading to improve this situation. Air protection belongs to the one of the main objectives of environmental policy in the recent years. The Ostravsko and Karvinsko regions are one of the most affected places in the Czech Republic and Klimkovice falls within these regions. The author's conclusion is that town is the most influenced by emissions from local heating and transport. The town is influenced by a manufacturing from Ostrava and Poland during flowing of the north-eastern wind. The biggest possibilities to improve air quality in the town are grants for saving heating costs, activity of civic association the Čisté Klimkovice or a novella of the law about air protection when the inhabitant´s kettle will have to meet definite standards under a threat of a big fine.
