Abstract

BONCZKOVÁ Sabina, The development of alcali activated fibre concretes, Diploma Thesis, VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Building Materials and Diagnostics of structures 223, 102 pages, 2016, Supervisor: Ing. Vlastimil Bílek, Ph.D. Alkali activated systems represent an uncemented alternative binders for use in construction. These are two-component systems which use a binder based on raw materials and as activators are frequently used solutions of alkali metal. The systems are characterized by energy and ecological potential. In this work they were made by the three main types of concretes. As a binder used Portland cement, slag cement and a hybrid (90% slag and 10% Portland cement). All types of concretes were produced with high and low content of binder. Concretes of higher binder content were subsequently reinforced synthetic and steel fibers. The aim of this work is to determine and compare the physical and mechanical properties of fiber concrete. Fiber concretes were compared with those of unreinforced concrete both high and low binder content.
