Abstract
Dissertation work with name „Low-temperature alloys for lead-free solders, study of physico-chemical characteristics“ attends to one of types alternative solders: alloys on the base of tin–zinc with addition of aluminum that belong to solders group with higher melting temperature and they are significant e.g. for application in automotive and heat exchangers. The own content of the dissertation is complex theoretical and experimental study of selected properties of some binary tin–zinc alloys and ternary alloys Al–Sn–Zn with various addition of aluminum.
Theoretical part: Background research of available informations on the ternary system Sn–Zn–Al.
Experimental part: Experimental preparation of samples of Sn–Zn–(Al) alloys, chemical analyses of prepared alloys (methods: OES, ICP-AES), DTA analyses, micro-structural analyses (OM) and measurement of micro-hardness, x-ray structural (SEM, BSE) and chemical micro-analysis (EDX, WDX), heat treatment of Al–Sn–Zn alloys, phase analysis, determination of phases fraction, measurement of electrical rezistivity, density and magnetic susceptibility, tests of wettability (solderability) of alloys, mechanical properties of Al–Sn–Zn alloys.
Discussion: Thermodynamic calculations and modelling of Sn–Zn–Al ternary system, confrontation: thermodynamics versus experiment and complex evaluation of achieved results.
