Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with modern way of solution of driving circuits with IGBT and MOSFET transistors. Drivers are control circuits that are determined for switching purposes of semiconductor components. Modern way of solution of driver is its modification. In this case it is a modification of input of a driver. Cable input is replaced with optical input. In theoretical part, semiconductor switching components and their dynamic features are described. Subsequently, control circuit, its features and requirements are explained. In practical part, a driver with optical input, its principle of function and its features are described. Subsequently there is a market research, the only manufacturer of drivers with optical input is company CT Concept. Drivers are divided according to manufacturers of IGBT and MOSFET transistors for individual driving circuits that CT Concept offers.
