Abstract

The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the funding options for sports clubs on a theoretical and also practical level. The work is divided into 3 main parts. The first chapter is devoted to a theoretical introduction of the issue, where, among other things, we pursue the sports ecosystem, the organizational structures of sports clubs and analyse income of sports clubs in detail. From the theoretical point of view, we also define the methods and techniques of research, which are used in the next part of the thesis. In the next chapter we characterize the chosen sports club, we focus on its financing and management of funds. In the SWOT analysis we determine strengths and weaknesses of the sports club and we also address opportunities and threats in achieving club goals. The interview with the manager and the chairman of the club offers a more detailed look at the issue. A questionnaire survey with 41 respondents from the chosen football club provides insight into the complexity of the issue. The final chapter summarizes the results of the survey and offers results for solving the problem. The results of the thesis are proposals, suggestions and recommendations for a sports club.
