Realizace přeshraniční spolupráce na území euroregionu Těšínské Slezsko

Abstract

The goal of the EU Regional Policy is to support the well-balanced development of the Community by reducing regional economic and social disparities. This bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of cross-border cooperation, which is carried out using a regional policy on the territory of Euroregion Těšínské Slezsko, which is also a historical area. Aim of this work is to present a comprehensive picture of cross-border cooperation within the European Union, as well as the history of the Czech border regions and of the Czech Euro-regions formation. It focuses also on implementation of a specific project, which was implemented under the Operational Programme Cross-Border Cooperation Czech Republic - Poland 2007 - 2013.

According to available data, on the territory of Euroregion Těšínské Slezsko realizes a larger number of projects, both hard and soft, and we can say that the Euroregion Těšínské Slezsko has developed cross-border cooperation at a very high level.
