Abstract

Thesis deals the possibilities of external funding through grants. In the theoretical part deals with the general characteristics of European funds and the problems of EU regional policy. The practical part focuses on requirements of getting grants under the Regional Operational Programme Moravskoslezsko, analyzes the main problems, shortcomings and critical factors, that have been recorded yet from received requests for grants. Thesis describes the general process of getting grants and finally the proposals for improvement. Objective is to apprise of the procedures for the successful execution of grant, define individual phases of the project, attention to errors, that have been recorded and suggest appropriate solutions to imrove.
