Abstract
This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of wages and salaries in individual regions of the Czech Republic in 2012 and 2016. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how the remuneration in the wage and salary sector has changed and in which sectors and in which profession it is the best to work. The theoretical part is focused on terms related to salaries, wages and salary inequalities. In the practical part, I deal with differences in wages and salaries in selected professions and regions of the Czech Republic. Data are processed using survey results from the average earnings information portal. The data are arranged in tables and commented on by words describing certain situations. Differences in remuneration within occupations are constantly increasing, especially in more qualified professions. Less qualified professions are generally better remunerated in the wage sphere and a more skilled profession rather in the wage sphere. The dominant feature in the regional classification of wages and salaries is the ever-widening spread to wage and salary levels in the capital city of Prague and other regions.
