Abstract
The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is to deepen the knowledge about truss girder railway
bridges with orthotropic deck and to calculate the load-bearing capacity of the main members.
The internal forces were determined both by analytical calculation and by commercial
software Dlubal rFem. The structural arrangement of truss girders and bridge decks of railway
bridges and assessment of the main structural elements according to EC 3 is described
in the thesis. The work also discusses the possibilities of reconstruction of steel bridge
structures. Main part of the thesis deals with a creation of a 2D frame algorithm, which
is used for calculation of the internal forces and stability using the general deformation
method. It was found that the resulting values of the internal forces calculated analyticaly
corresponds to those determined by the commercial Dlubal rFem software. The analytical
algorithm has 99.7 % accuracy with the results obtained using 2D model in the Dlubal
software.
