Analýza protipovodňového efektu CHKO Litovelské Pomoraví

Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the flood mitigation effect of Litovelské Pomoraví nature reserve, which is based on the retency ability of floodplain forest with use of geographic information systems and mathematical models. First part is about physical-geography description of the area, next part is dealing with the description of selected program resources of GIS and hydrodynamic models which was used in my thesis. Following part is practical and the main thrust is analysis of the flood mitigation effect during certain runoff situations with the use of selected program resources GIS, HEC-RAS, MIKE 11 and MIKE 21c. The content of the closing part are the results of hydraulic modeling and postprocessing GIS and evaluating the influence of the floodplain forest on the attenuation of flood wave.
