Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the status on the labour market in the districts of the Moravian-Silesian Region using selected indicators. The labour market developments in sub-regions are then assessed from a regional point of view. On the basis of the evaluation, practical steps are proposed which could contribute to its gradual reduction in case of high unemployment. The theoretical part provides a whole view of the issue of unemployment and the closely related employment policy. The practical part deals with the research and evaluation of the labour market situation in the mentioned districts for the period 2014-2016 as well as with the monitoring of the use of specific instruments of active and passive employment policy.
