Abstract

The aim of my diploma thesis is to create the layout design, construction and engineering solutions of the stables from wood-based materials. Part of the thesis is the creation of three further variants bearing system of roofing of the stables and a proposal composition of the roof cladding and facade. In the beginning I have focused on theoretical analysis and research of buildings based on wood. Next part of my work relates to the structural design of selected variants. The main hall of a riding stables is designed like a double nave. I have chosen a variation of an arc trusses of glued laminated laminated timber like the roof supporting construction. On the girders is transmitted the load through purlins. The purlins are made of solid wood. The vertical supporting construction is solved by reinforced concrete columns, which are based on the footing. I have conducted the static calculation of decisive load bearing elements, their interactions and connections. In addition I have proposed a supporting construction for the gable wall. It is composed by columns to which the load is transmitted through the sills. On the sills is anchored the structural glazing. The whole facade is made by a structural glazing.
